Why the guides exist
Wedding planning advice online mostly falls into two buckets: magazine roundups written to rank, and forum threads where the real answer is buried under forty replies. Both leave couples doing arithmetic on a napkin. Every guide on this site starts from the napkin instead — the actual numbers a couple needs, with the math shown so you can check it.
How each guide and calculator is built
- Start from the decision, not the keyword. Each page answers one question a couple actually asks — how many photos to expect, how many tables to rent, what size tent to order — with the inputs that drive the answer visible.
- Show the assumptions. Every calculator exposes its rates and multipliers (seats per table, square feet per guest, attendance percentages) so you can adjust them to your wedding instead of trusting a black box.
- Be honest about ranges. Wedding math is estimation, not physics. Where the honest answer is a range, the page says so, and the downloadable plan includes the caveat.
- Update, don’t accumulate. Guides carry a published and an updated date. When the numbers or the product change, the page gets fixed instead of replaced.
How this connects to the product
VowSnaps exists because the best photos of a wedding mostly live on your guests’ phones. The planning math on this site — guest counts, table counts, storage, tent sizes — feeds the same decision the product solves: how many QR cards to print and where to put them, so every one of those photos actually reaches you.
