Wedding Crossword Generator: Free Printable Puzzle

Turn your own answers and clues into a numbered wedding crossword with a blank puzzle, clue sheet and matching answer key. Print or save as PDF through your browser for free, with no account or AI generation.

Create your wedding crossword

Write the answers yourself. This tool arranges them into a crossword; it does not invent clues or use AI.

Add 2–24 answers of 3–20 letters A–Z and a clue for each (up to 160 characters). Spaces, hyphens and apostrophes are removed. Numbers and accented letters are not supported. Every placed answer must connect to another.

Load example replaces your list with fictional entries. Clear entries removes your list. Keep a copy of anything you want to reuse.

Entries are processed in this browser, not sent to a puzzle service or saved by this tool. Copy your entries elsewhere before leaving or reloading the page.

No puzzle yet. Add your entries or load the example, then select Build crossword. Editing an answer or clue clears the previous result.

Choose Letter or A4 portrait. In your browser’s print dialog, choose a printer or Save as PDF; turn off headers and footers. Preview every page before saving. Long clues may continue onto another page. Print the answer key separately so guests do not see it.

No account or payment is needed for the crossword or its print output.

Make a wedding crossword your guests can solve

Write clues your guests can solve

Choose shared details that friends and family can recognise: a place you visited, a favourite meal or a pet’s name. Give enough context that a guest does not need to have witnessed one private moment to answer. Confirm the spelling with your partner before making copies.

These three pairs are fictional examples, not facts about your wedding. Replace both the answer and the clue with your own details.

PARIS — The city of our first trip together.

GARDEN — Where we got engaged.

PASTA — The dish we cooked on our first date.

Avoid ambiguous answers such as a surname with two common spellings unless the clue helps distinguish them. Leave out private information and jokes that would make someone uncomfortable. The generator arranges your text; it does not check personal facts or invent clues.

Why an answer was rejected or not placed

Add 2–24 answer-and-clue pairs. An answer must contain 3–20 letters A–Z after spaces, hyphens and straight or curly apostrophes are removed. Lowercase letters become uppercase. Numbers, accented letters and other punctuation are not supported; enter an unaccented spelling only if you are happy for guests to use it.

Each clue must contain 1–160 characters. An empty answer or clue is invalid, including an unused row: fill it in or remove it. Answers that become identical after normalisation count as duplicates. Keep one clue for each answer; later duplicate rows are reported rather than printed twice.

Invalid entries have an input problem. Not placed means the answer passed validation but was omitted from this particular connected layout. These are different outcomes. The search tries a limited set of layouts within a 25-by-25 grid; it does not prove that another arrangement is impossible.

Try answers that share letters, shorten a long phrase, or change your word list and select Build crossword again. Rebuilding an unchanged list gives the same layout. The tool needs at least two crossing answers to offer a printable puzzle. A partial puzzle can be printed, but only the placed answers appear in its clues and key.

Check the entry-status report before printing. Editing an answer or clue clears the old result so it cannot be mistaken for the updated puzzle. The tool does not save your entry list for a later visit; keep your own copy before closing the page.

For guests who choose to take photos rather than play paper-based couple trivia, try a wedding photo scavenger hunt.

You do not need to set up a VowSnaps gallery to use or print this crossword. If you also want to collect guest photos and videos, VowSnaps brings them into one private gallery via QR, with no app or account required for guests. See how guest photo collection works.
