Guestlense vs GuestCam: the short answer

Guestlense is worth shortlisting if you want a guest-photo gallery with printed QR cards ordered through the same provider. GuestCam is the stronger documented fit if your priority is a longer upload window or an included audio guestbook. Both advertise a $49 entry plan and browser access without a guest app or account. Neither is a universal winner: compare the package, deadlines and guest experience you need.

Disclosure: VowSnaps is a competing wedding photo-sharing service. This comparison is published by its founder, Brandon King, using public vendor documentation checked October 20, 2026. We did not buy plans, upload files, order cards or test either service at a wedding. Prices and features are documented claims, not hands-on performance results.

Guestlense here means guestlense.com, not Lense at lense.app. If you are still planning the collection workflow, our guide to collecting wedding guest photos with a QR code covers the wider decision. This article stays focused on Guestlense and GuestCam.

These are advertised US-dollar prices checked October 20, 2026, before any applicable taxes or optional extras. Guestlense labels its prices USD. GuestCam's terms specify US dollars. We did not complete checkout or apply a promotional code. Recheck the final currency, inclusions and total before buying.

GuestCam displayed $49 for Standard beside a crossed-out $55, and $97 for Premium beside a crossed-out $110. We use the displayed current prices, not the crossed-out figures. The Guestlense comparison covers the $49 and $99 offers visible on its homepage; it is not a claim that no other package exists.

Both vendors advertise unlimited guests and photo/video uploads for these packages. That does not make upload deadlines, file-size rules or storage duration disappear. Guestlense's FAQ states a 500 MB maximum upload file size. Confirm GuestCam's current per-file limit directly, along with any requirements for unusually large videos or use beyond a single wedding.

What guests have to do

Both services describe QR-code or link access through a phone browser, without requiring guests to download an app or register an account. Guestlense says guests enter their first and last names to access the gallery, then can view and upload photos and videos. GuestCam says guests can upload photos, record audio messages and browse the gallery directly in their browser without creating an account.

No app does not mean no connection. Guestlense's FAQ explicitly requires internet access for uploads. Before choosing either service, test the guest route on the phones and venue network you expect to use. We did not test offline behavior, upload speed or how many guests would participate.

Both advertise a live slideshow and gallery downloads, but their documented download-quality claims differ. Guestlense says photos download at full resolution while videos are slightly compressed for usability. It offers individual and bulk downloads through the gallery and host dashboard. GuestCam says it stores original uploaded photos and videos without compression and offers a one-click ZIP download in original quality. We did not independently test image quality, video compression or download reliability.

Upload windows are not storage windows

Guestlense's homepage lists a three-month upload period and 12-month access period starting on the event date. Its FAQ adds an important detail: guests can upload from the time you create the event until three months after the event date. Do not read the headline as only three months of total uploading, or as three months starting on the purchase date.

GuestCam says both its upload and storage clocks begin on the event start date you set, not when you buy. Standard allows six months of uploads and 12 months of storage; Premium allows 12 months of uploads and 14 months of storage. Buying Premium changes both clocks, while Guestlense's $99 printed-card offer retains the digital package's stated periods.

For a wedding where guests may contribute months later, GuestCam's documented longer upload window matters more than a shared $49 starting price. If three months after the event is enough, Guestlense's shorter window may be perfectly adequate. Either way, set a reminder to export, open the downloaded files and save a separate backup before access ends. A hosted gallery is not your only archive.

Printed QR cards or print-it-yourself templates?

Guestlense's $99 Digital Guestbook + 30 QR Cards offer includes 30 printed and shipped cards, with 5-by-7-inch or 8.5-by-11-inch options. It advertises worldwide free shipping. The FAQ directs hosts to the event dashboard for instructions on ordering included prints; buying the package should not be treated as proof that a finished design has already been dispatched.

We did not verify a guaranteed arrival date, destination-specific delivery conditions or any customs charges. If your wedding is soon, ask Guestlense to confirm your design deadline, shipping destination and expected arrival before relying on delivery. Free shipping is not the same promise as arrival before your wedding.

GuestCam includes editable Canva QR signs and table-card templates on all plans. You arrange printing yourself and budget for the printer, paper or print shop separately. Guestlense's $49 digital package also lists Canva QR templates. The practical comparison is therefore a delivered-card bundle versus arranging your own printing, not whether one service has QR codes and the other does not.

Which fits your wedding?

You want physical QR cards supplied with the gallery: shortlist Guestlense's $99 package, provided the 30-card quantity and confirmed delivery timing suit your venue. If you already have a printer or stationer, compare the $49 digital package plus your own print cost instead of paying for a bundle you will not use.

You want the longer collection window at the entry price: GuestCam Standard documents six months of uploads from the event date, compared with Guestlense's cutoff three months after the event. Both have a documented 12-month access or storage period. Choose based on when you expect contributions, not an assumption that longer storage also means longer uploading.

You want audio messages or separate main galleries: GuestCam makes those entitlements explicit. Standard covers web/PhoneBooth audio; Premium lists a dial-in number and six Main Galleries. Check the phone-number distinction and any optional MagicFind cost against your actual plan.

You only need a browser gallery and a reception slideshow: both document those features. There is no tested performance winner in this comparison. Compare the guest demo, collection cutoff, printing arrangements and export workflow, then choose the service whose confirmed terms fit your wedding.

Where VowSnaps is a different third option

VowSnaps is our own product, not an independent recommendation. Its US$79.99 one-time wedding package combines a website, guest replies, meal and plus-one tracking, seating tools, QR photo sharing and a live venue slideshow. It allows up to 2,000 photo/video uploads, with a 12-month upload window beginning on the event date and unlimited guests and QR scans.

That is a broader wedding-management bundle, not unlimited media uploads and not a cheaper alternative to either $49 entry plan. If those planning features matter, check VowSnaps' current wedding package and limits. If your main requirement is printed cards, face search or a particular audio setup, compare those specific documented features rather than assuming every product includes them.

How this comparison was checked

We checked the public Guestlense pricing cards, features and expanded FAQs, GuestCam pricing and feature documentation, GuestCam terms and VowSnaps pricing on October 20, 2026. Source links accompany the relevant sections so you can recheck the claims. We used currently displayed prices and did not treat crossed-out prices, search snippets or one vendor's negative competitor claims as current plan facts.

No paid purchase, card delivery, upload, audio recording, slideshow, face match or download was tested. We do not award star ratings or promise which service will collect more wedding photos. Before paying, confirm the checkout total, large-file requirements, upload and download deadlines, printing costs or delivery timing, and any feature that is essential to your event.
