GuestPix vs POV: the short answer

GuestPix is a documented fit when you want a shared browser gallery for wedding photos and videos, with a published upload window and original-quality ZIP export. POV is worth considering when the activity itself matters: guests use a customizable digital camera, with a photo limit and reveal timing chosen by the host. Both allow guests to join without installing the full app. Our guide to collecting wedding guest photos covers the wider collection workflow.

Disclosure: VowSnaps is a competing wedding photo-sharing service. This article is published by its founder, Brandon King, using public vendor documentation checked October 18, 2026. We did not purchase plans, host a wedding, upload files or test reliability, image quality, support or guest participation. These are planning comparisons, not hands-on results or a universal winner.

POV here means POV Camera at pov.camera, operated by Untitled Tech, Inc., not another similarly named photo service. The choice is not simply app versus no app, or existing photos versus new ones: POV also documents camera-roll uploads. The important differences are the chosen experience, included features, deadlines and what you can save afterward.

GuestPix vs POV for 100 wedding guests

The table uses one wedding with capacity for 100 guests, not a prediction of how many will contribute. GuestPix prices were viewed with USD selected. POV's calculator was set to For Personal and 100 guests; its terms say currency references are US dollars unless otherwise noted. Prices were checked October 18, 2026. We did not complete checkout or verify a tax-inclusive total, and the plans are not feature-identical.

POV's calculator lists an optional Business Essentials package at an additional US$20, with custom branding, live slideshow and 24/7 customer support. The US$54.99 figure is the US$34.99 personal configuration plus that displayed add-on, not a separate wedding tier or a claim that video or unlimited shots are included. Confirm the final configuration and total before paying.

GuestPix Classic includes one event gallery, invitation/RSVP feature, moderation, photo/video slideshow and written/video guestbook. Its Super Albums line was crossed out. Signature lists custom colors/fonts and 12 months of uploads and hosting; the unlimited Super Albums inclusion was a limited-time offer, not a permanent promise. The US$119 Signature Bundle has three galleries and a purchase-based hosting clock; it is not the one-wedding baseline here.

For a small trial, POV's calculator shows a free option for up to 10 guests. GuestPix separately advertises a free gallery with 50 photos and a 30-day upload window. Neither free offer establishes the same capacity and entitlements as the paid 100-guest comparison.

How guests take and share photos

GuestPix describes a private gallery reached through a QR code or link, with no guest app download. Guests can send photos and videos, and paid wedding plans include a written/video guestbook. This suits a collection workflow: guests take pictures on their own phones, then contribute the files they want to share.

POV's wedding page describes automatic uploads when photos are captured inside POV, plus direct uploads from the camera roll. Its expanded FAQ specifies App Clips on iOS and a web-based experience on Android. The page's general marketing copy also refers to Instant Apps; the more specific FAQ is the basis for the Android description here. Personal-event hosts are directed to the iOS or Android app, while business creation has a separate web app.

POV lets the host choose how many photos each guest can take. Its developer's App Store description confirms configurable photo counts and gallery reveal timing, but the public personal pricing card does not establish the full range of shot limits or a current unlimited-shot price. We also did not verify a personal-plan video entitlement, video limit or video add-on price in these official pages. Unverified does not mean unavailable: ask POV if videos or unrestricted shooting are essential.

POV's wedding FAQ says internet access, through Wi-Fi or cellular data, is required both to enter the experience and submit photos. Test the actual guest route at your venue on the phones your guests will use. Neither a no-download claim nor a published feature list proves a friction-free experience at a particular wedding.

When guests can see their photos

POV's developer description says the gallery can reveal during the event or the next day. That supports a delayed-reveal disposable-camera-style activity, rather than requiring everyone to browse a shared album immediately. Its wedding FAQ says hosts can review and delete guest photos at any time. That is not the same documented promise as a per-upload approval queue; confirm how your reveal and display settings interact.

GuestPix's paid cards include moderation. Its help page explains that, when enabled, pending photos and videos are visible to the uploader and host but not other guests until approved. The host can approve or reject them through Manage Media. A published moderation control still needs someone assigned to operate it during a reception.

For a reception screen, GuestPix Classic includes a photo/video slideshow. POV's checked 100-guest personal calculator puts Live Slideshow in the optional US$20 Business Essentials package, bringing the displayed base-plus-add-on calculation to US$54.99. Budget separately for the screen and connection, and check whether the media and reveal settings you want are supported. We did not test either display.

Upload windows, hosting and downloads

GuestPix Classic lists three months of uploads and 12 months of hosting, with hosting starting from the event date. Signature lists 12 months for both. The pricing page also says galleries open two weeks before the event. Confirm the exact collection cutoff shown for your booking rather than treating early access as an extra guaranteed extension. Signature Bundle's 24-month hosting clock starts at purchase, so buying early affects its remaining time differently.

Unlimited uploads are not unlimited storage. GuestPix's pricing page applies fair use and a limit of 1,000 guests per event; its wedding storage guide lists 200GB for Classic and 400GB for Signature. Its upload guide describes about 4GB or 100 files at one time and explicitly applies the 4GB limit to a whole batch. That is not a 4GB gallery allowance. Check unusually large videos separately.

GuestPix documents host ZIP export of original-resolution photos and videos, folders organized by guest name and guestbook messages in a CSV. Its advice is to download before hosting ends and back up the ZIP. Use our guide to estimate how much storage your wedding photos need for your own backup drive, not as a vendor storage entitlement.

POV's business page advertises website downloads and indefinite gallery access. We did not verify that those business statements apply unchanged to the US$34.99 Personal configuration or that buying Business Essentials transfers every business entitlement. The public personal pages reviewed did not establish a precise collection deadline, retention term, bulk-export workflow or original-resolution guarantee. Ask POV to confirm those points for the plan you intend to buy; this gap in our verification is not a claim that downloads are impossible or that personal galleries expire.

Keep three separate questions on your checklist: when can guests stop submitting, when can you stop viewing, and when must you save your own copy? An access statement is not a guarantee of permanent backup. Export promptly, check that the files open and keep a separate copy rather than relying on either gallery as your only archive.

Which works better for your wedding plans?

Scenario A: 100 guests, sharing the photos they already take. GuestPix Classic is a documented fit if you want photo/video collection over three months, a shared gallery and original-quality ZIP export. POV also allows camera-roll uploads, so it is not excluded from this task. Its lower checked base price is relevant only after you confirm the personal plan's collection and export terms meet your needs.

Scenario B: 100 guests, a disposable-camera-style activity. POV is the closer documented fit when you want to choose a shot limit and let the gallery reveal later. Confirm the available shot settings before buying, and allow for the US$20 add-on if you also want its live slideshow. GuestPix documents a collection gallery and moderation; those features should not be presented as an equivalent delayed-reveal camera game.

Scenario C: 100 guests, videos, a reception display and a saved collection. GuestPix Classic has explicit documentation for all three at US$49: photo/video uploads, a photo/video slideshow and original-quality ZIP export, within its stated windows and limits. That makes it a clearer documented starting point for this requirement, not a tested reliability winner. Before choosing POV for the same brief, confirm personal-plan video support, display behavior and bulk/original-quality export, rather than assuming the US$54.99 slideshow configuration covers everything.

If your shortlist changes, the GuestPix vs GuestCam comparison and Kululu vs GuestPix wedding plans cover those separate choices. For this pair, decide whether your priority is collecting existing files or shaping a camera activity, then verify the remaining terms before paying.

What we verified and what we did not test

We read the vendors' public pricing, wedding feature pages, GuestPix help articles, POV's terms and its developer-authored App Store description on October 18, 2026. We selected POV's 100-guest Personal pricing configuration and checked GuestPix's USD cards visually, including crossed-out exclusions. Source links sit beside the relevant sections so you can recheck the claims before purchase.

No paid plan, guest upload, moderation action, slideshow, download or real wedding was tested. We did not use app-store reviews as proof of current prices, limits or performance. POV Personal's video, shot-range, collection, retention and export details remain unverified where stated; its business documentation is not silently treated as a personal-plan promise.

Before paying, confirm the currency and tax-inclusive total, guest capacity, desired media types, shot settings, add-ons, upload cutoff and download terms. Then test guest access at the venue with non-sensitive sample media and appoint someone to save the finished collection. The right choice is the one whose confirmed settings and deadlines match your wedding, not the one with the longest list of advertised features.
