Kululu vs GuestPix: the short answer
Choose Kululu Plus if you want a QR album and live Photo Wall, expect no more than 500 uploads, can finish collecting within 30 days and do not need manual approval. Choose GuestPix Classic if you need a three-month upload window, included invitation/RSVP tools and documented moderation, while staying within its storage and fair-use conditions. Kululu Pro and GuestPix Signature are the relevant step-ups when capacity, approval or longer collection time changes the decision.
Disclosure: VowSnaps is a competing wedding photo-sharing service. This article is published by its founder, Brandon King, using public vendor documentation checked October 16, 2026. It is not an independent hands-on review: we did not purchase plans, upload guest media or test reliability, image quality, moderation or participation. The examples below are planning assumptions, not customer results.
Both services collect through a QR code or link in a browser; neither requires a guest app download. The useful distinction is what happens after the scan: how much guests can send, whether uploads need approval, and how long you have to save the collection. There is no universal winner established by this documentation review.

This table uses Kululu's live personal-event cards and GuestPix's wedding pricing page with USD selected, checked October 16, 2026. Kululu displays a dollar sign without identifying the currency on those cards; its paid prices exclude taxes. GuestPix's host terms say listed prices include applicable taxes and charges. These are advertised amounts, not completed checkout quotes or converted equivalents. Confirm currency and final cost before choosing on price.
GuestPix's exact package cards are the basis for its rows. The same page's general FAQ still mentions Luxe and broadly describes 12-month, event-date hosting, while the Signature Bundle card specifically says 24 months and hosting from purchase. We have not merged those conflicting descriptions into a new package. Confirm the Bundle's upload start date and written hosting end date before buying; do not apply the generic purchase-anytime reassurance to it.
GuestPix advertised unlimited Super Albums as a limited-time inclusion on Signature and Signature Bundle. Classic's Super Albums line was crossed out. Albums organize content within a gallery; they are not extra event galleries. No sale percentage or continuing promotion is assumed in this comparison.
For a free starting point, Kululu allows 100 combined photo-and-video uploads over 24 hours, with seven days of access and standard-quality storage. GuestPix separately advertises a free gallery with 50 photos, digital invitations/RSVPs and a 30-day upload window. We did not verify video uploads, bulk downloads or hosting entitlements for that free offer. Do not assume it includes the features or allowances of paid Classic.
Upload limits, guest counts and file sizes
An upload count, a storage allowance, a batch limit and a guest cap measure different things. Kululu counts each photo or video as one upload. Reaching the Free or Plus limit stops new uploads until files are deleted or the plan is upgraded. A long video and one small photo each use one place in that count; that does not prove there is no size restriction.
Kululu's cards list unlimited guests, but its Fair Usage Policy limits unlimited plans to 10,000 media uploads and 5,000 participants per event unless another arrangement is made. It also says the service is for event media, not a general cloud drive. We did not verify a numeric per-file size cap in the Kululu pricing and help pages reviewed; ask about long videos before relying on the allowance.
GuestPix's paid wedding offer is subject to fair use and a pricing-page limit of 1,000 guests per event, with custom packages for larger events. Its storage help page names 200GB for Classic and 400GB each for Signature and Signature Bundle. The Bundle entry does not say clearly whether 400GB applies across the package or to each gallery; do not multiply it by three without confirmation.
GuestPix's upload guidance describes about 4GB or 100 files at one time and explicitly applies the 4GB limit to a whole batch. This is not a 4GB gallery allowance. For either service, check unusually large individual files separately and use the Wedding Photo Storage Guide to estimate disk space for your backup, not to infer a vendor entitlement.
Upload windows and gallery access
Write down two deadlines: the last day guests can add files and the last day you can access and download them. Kululu's upload help defines active time as starting when the event is marked as started and guests begin uploading, excluding owner or one-or-two-guest test uploads. Its pricing FAQ says event date and guest activity determine activation, not when you create or upgrade the event.
Kululu separately lists seven days, 90 days and one year of access for Free, Plus and Pro. After that availability period, its help page says photos and videos are no longer accessible. That page does not clearly define the access clock's starting point. Confirm the exact end date in your account rather than adding the access period after the upload window.
GuestPix's Classic and Signature cards start hosting on the event date, with three and 12 months of uploads respectively. The page says galleries open two weeks before the event. Signature Bundle's card instead starts hosting at purchase, so buying it far ahead consumes part of that stated hosting period. Its card gives 24 months for uploads but does not separately define their starting point; ask before planning several events around it.
Access expiry is not the same as deletion or a promise of recovery. Kululu's privacy policy says it will email at least 30 days before deleting data after plan expiry or inactivity, while reserving immediate deletion for terms violations. That notice does not extend the access window documented in its help center. GuestPix explicitly recommends downloading before hosting ends. For both services, put a backup reminder before the confirmed deadline, assign someone to export the files, and check that the saved collection opens. A renewal option is not a reason to leave the only copy online.
Guest uploads, privacy and moderation
Both vendors describe access through a shared QR code or link. GuestPix's wedding FAQ says guests do not need to sign up. Kululu documents app-free browser access; we have not assumed that every welcome-form or account setting is identical. Treat the invitation link as something to share deliberately, not as proof that a forwarded link cannot be used by someone else.
Kululu says uploads appear in the album immediately by default. Its manual-approval setting is Pro-only: once enabled, guest uploads need approval before they appear to others. Pro also lists an automatic content filter, but neither the listing nor this research establishes how accurately it works. Plus's Photo Wall should not be mistaken for a moderated Photo Wall.
GuestPix lists content moderation on Classic, Signature and Signature Bundle. Its dedicated moderation help page says pending media is visible to its uploader and the host, but not other guests until approved. Hosts approve or reject through Manage Media. That is a useful documented distinction from Kululu Plus, not evidence that either service's safeguards have been independently tested.
Gallery visibility and data handling are separate questions. Both vendors publish privacy policies covering personal information and uploaded content; a private-gallery label is not a guarantee that no provider or service processor handles data. Review those policies, choose guest viewing and download permissions deliberately, and obtain permission before sharing sensitive images or republishing someone else's work. We make no comparative security or legal-compliance rating.
Photo walls, downloads and extras
Kululu includes its real-time Photo Wall on Free, Plus and Pro. GuestPix's paid wedding cards include a photo/video slideshow. Budget separately for a suitable screen and internet connection; the subscription or one-time software price is not venue equipment. Before the wedding, test the display and approval settings with non-sensitive sample files.
Kululu documents original-quality photo/video downloads on Plus and Pro, while Free slightly compresses photos. Download All produces a ZIP on the paid plans only. Individual downloads are documented separately, so a free download icon does not establish free bulk export.
GuestPix's host export guide says its ZIP contains original-resolution photos and videos, folders organized by guest name, and guestbook messages in CSV format. Guests can download individual files or the gallery ZIP only when the host enables the relevant settings; the host must generate the ZIP before guests can use it. These are documented export features, not measured results from our own downloads.
GuestPix's paid wedding cards include digital invitations with RSVPs and a written/video guestbook. Signature adds custom colors/fonts and the current Super Albums offer; Bundle supplies three separate event galleries. Kululu Plus lists custom branding, while Pro adds full brand control, a custom event URL and advanced welcome forms. A welcome form is not automatically an invitation/RSVP system. We found no equivalent invitation/RSVP entitlement on Kululu's personal-event plan cards, which is not a claim that the company has no other products or tools.
Which service fits your wedding?
These examples assume half the invited guests contribute eight files each, counting every photo or video once. They are illustrative arithmetic, not predicted participation. They exclude host uploads, professional galleries and any extra events; add those to your own estimate. File count alone does not establish storage size or video compatibility.
For 50 guests, 25 contributors sending eight files each produce 200 uploads. That already exceeds Kululu Free's 100, but fits Plus's 500. Plus is a reasonable documented fit if collection ends within 30 days and you do not require approval. GuestPix Classic is worth comparing if invitations/RSVPs, moderation or three months of uploads matter more than a short collection window.
For 100 guests, 50 contributors produce 400 uploads, leaving 100 places in Kululu Plus before any host files or extra contributions. This is where a modest change in participation can alter the choice. If that headroom is too small, compare Kululu Pro with GuestPix Classic rather than assuming that a plan recommended for 100 guests must fit every 100-guest wedding.
For 200 guests, 100 contributors produce 800 uploads. Kululu Plus no longer fits the stated assumption; Pro is the relevant Kululu tier, subject to fair use and unknown per-file limits. GuestPix Classic may still fit if the actual files stay within 200GB and its upload rules, and collection finishes within three months. For a full year of contributions, GuestPix Signature's documented 12-month window fits that timing requirement; Kululu Pro's three-month window does not.
For a rehearsal dinner, wedding and later celebration, decide whether you need three separate event galleries or one collection before comparing prices. GuestPix Bundle explicitly offers three galleries, but its purchase-based hosting clock and unclear storage allocation need confirmation. Do not equate albums, galleries and separate paid events. If GuestCam is also on your list, the separate GuestCam vs Kululu and GuestPix vs GuestCam comparisons keep those buying decisions distinct.
Questions to ask before paying
Confirm the currency, tax-inclusive total, plan name and any promotion you are relying on. Ask for the precise upload and download deadlines for your event dates, including early access and any purchase-based clock. For multiple celebrations, confirm which are covered by the same plan.
Give support the size and format of your largest expected video, your approximate total storage and your expected upload count. Ask Kululu about unverified per-file limits and GuestPix about Bundle storage allocation if those affect your choice. Check what happens at a limit rather than interpreting unlimited as permission for any use.
Check cancellation terms before paying, not after the event. Kululu's refund policy promises a refund if you end up not using it at your event. GuestPix's cards advertise a 14-day money-back guarantee, while its host terms govern cancellation and refunds. Read the current conditions for your purchase; this comparison is not a guarantee of refund eligibility.
Finally, decide who will manage pending uploads during the reception and who will export afterward. Test the actual QR code after printing and keep a backup of the downloaded collection. The right plan is the one that meets those specific tasks and deadlines, not the one with the longest feature list.
Considering another QR photo gallery?
VowSnaps is our own alternative, not a neutral recommendation. Guests can add photos and videos through a QR code without an app or guest account. Its current pricing lists Complete at $79.99 one time with up to 2,000 photos/videos and a 12-month upload window. RSVP collection and seating features belong to Complete; do not assume every VowSnaps tier includes them. Compare the current terms against your needs rather than treating any of these services as feature-identical.
If you are still deciding how the collection should work on the day, read how to collect wedding guest photos with a QR code. That guide covers the setup and guest prompts; this page remains the direct Kululu versus GuestPix purchasing comparison.
